New Delhi: The Prime Minister appealed to the striking medical students to call off their strike on Monday.
"I request students to call off their agitation. They should have faith in the government to protect the legitimate interests of all sections of the student community," the Prime Minister said at a function to mark the second anniversary of UPA coalition.
Appealing to the agitating students protesting against proposed reservation for OBCs in higher educational institutes, he said the government would work towards "a fair,just and inclusive" education system.
He added that no deserving student would be denied an opportunity.
He appealed to the students to call off thier strike and said the youth of the country had to build a stronger and more dynamic India.
