The Twitter app called 'Tweet Against Corruption' is available on www.tweetagainstcorruption.com.

New Delhi: As the debate on the Lokpal Bill and Anna Hazare's detention rages across the nation some tech savvy anti-corruption activists have put together a Twitter application that can tweet anti-corruption messages on your behalf.

The Twitter app called 'Tweet Against Corruption' is available on www.tweetagainstcorruption.com and a user can give the app access to their Twitter accounts and it will automatically tweet five messages a day to the user's followers.

The website for the app states that the app will send only up to five tweets a day and users can also revoke access to the app from their Twitter settings. The website also alerts users about the content of the next tweet.

At the time of posting about 1500 Twitter users have pledged their "Twitter accounts in service of the nation." The website claims that the app is an initiative of former IIT students. The developers believe that "a tweet is a powerful weapon and few tweets per day automatically can really go a long way."

The purpose of the app, according to the developers, is to encourage people to go out on the street to protest and they will take care of the "Twitter stuff."

What's your reaction?
