KOCHI: Following allegations that the officials of the Aluva Subjail were giving special privileges to some of the accused persons in the Paravoor sex scandal, ADGP Alaxander Jacob on Tuesday transferred the Superintendent and three wardens.As per the order, P P Varghese, the superintendent of Aluva Subjail, has been transferred to Mattanchery Sub jail and wardens G Anilkumar, Biju Varghese and Rockey, have been transferred to the district jail. The ADGP also instructed to shift the accused to Viyyur Central Jail. Accordingly, 30 of the accused will be moved to Viyyur on Wednesday.The remaining persons will be shifted on Thursday.The decision to transfer the officials and shift the accused was taken after the allegations that the jail officials were giving undue privileges to the accused, including the Tamil Nadubased contractor Manikandan.
