Pak says it's cooperating with India but needs more information.

Islamabad: Pakistan will act on the information provided by India on the Mumbai terror attack, a key aide to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Thursday, adding action has been taken against Jamaat-ud-Daawa (JuD) with five camps being closed down.

Addressing a press conference, Rehman Malik said investigations will take place transparently but at the same time "we will be needing more information".

"We are going to enquire without any prejudice," Malik said.

He said that investigation team comprises officers who have good experience in counter terrorism.

He said: "There are 71 persons who have been detained." In fact for the last six months, "we had kept certain persons under surveillance".

Malik said that investigation has been handed over to a "high powered team". "I have ordered a formal enquiry and would like wait for the result of the enquiry," he said.

While stating that suspects would be probed in Pakistan, he said that Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Azhar Masood was not in Pakistan.
