CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has restrained S Jaganatha Pandian of Abhiramapuram from communicating with the bankers, customers and statutory authorities and questioning the right, title and interest of Ozone Projects Private Limited over 43 acres of land in Anna Nagar-Koyambedu.Justice V Ramasubramanian granted the injunction while passing interim orders on an application arising out of a civil suit from Ozone Projects on August 8 last.According to the plaintiff company, it was developing ‘Metrozone’, a township project consisting of 1,700 high-end apartments together with shopping mall and multiplex in a vast area of 43 acres.There were disputes over the ownership of the land in question and Jaganatha Pandian, who claimed to be the power agent of the original owners of the property, had made “unscrupulous claims “and created problems for the plaintiff company, the company alleged.Hence, it moved the Madras High Court with the present civil suit claiming damages of Rs 10 crore. The application sought to restrain Jaganatha Pandian from making false claims regarding its property by way of paper publications, notice or handbills. The judge granted the injunction.
