OUAT training for farmers

BHUBANESWAR: A one-day farmers’ training programme by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology and the University of Hawaii, USA, was held at Tentuli village in Keonjhar district’s Banspal block where the two varsities have launched a collaborative research project, SMARTS. The farmers visited the research plots where maize-based conservation agricultural practices have been adopted under SMARTS project before attending the training programme. The farmers who had already taken part in the project shared their experience of the conservation agriculture practices.
