Jaipur: Rajasthan has set up three electronic kiosks here to provide online information on travel, stay and sites to tourists coming to the state.
"We have posted officials at the kiosks to help tourists with all the information they need about the state," Vinod Zutshi, Rajasthan's tourism secretary said.
The kiosks would provide detailed information about tourist destinations in the state, including monuments, forts, palaces, museums and other sites.
The state's secretary for IT, Rohit Kumar Singh said: "The kiosks will also inform tourists about hotels, important routes and tourist vehicles."
"We have plans to set up 140 kiosks all over the state in the first phase. We may expand the list later," Singh added.
Over one million foreign and two million domestic tourists visited the state last year.
"The exercise will save tourists from impostors who try to make a quick buck by cheating the visitors," said a tourism department official.
