OMC employee demands security

BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday issued emergent notice to the CBI in connection with a petition filed by Anand Reddy - prime witness in the illegal mining case involving former tourism minister G Janardhana Reddy.Anand Reddy stated that the CBI is torturing him to be a witness in the case, which also involves the Associated Mining Corporation and Deccan Mining Syndicate - all owned by the former minister.Adding that he has been living in fear since, Anand Reddy, also an employee of the  OMC, sought direction from the court to direct the state government to provide security to him and his family.Hearing the petition, Justice A S Bopanna adjourned it for further hearing.
