New Delhi: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has rejected speculations that Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah could resign or be replaced by him.
"I am not poised to take over. I have done my job as best as I could. I am not going, my son is good enough," Farooq said.
Speaking to Karan Thapar for CNN-IBN, Abdullah added that the Congress-NC government would complete its term in office in the state.
"I am sitting here, in the Congress government. If it wasn't surviving, I wouldn't be here," Farooq said.
On Thursday, the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi and discussed the current crisis in the state.
Earlier, there were speculations about Farooq Abdullah replacing Omar as Chief Minister after Centre talked of a "government deficit" in the state.
