A local court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Raes Khan and five others in the mass grave digging for tampering with evidence.
Ahmedabad: A local court in Lunavada on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrants against six persons, including social activist Raes Khan, on charges of tampering with evidence by digging up a mass grave of post-Godhra riot victims in Panchmahal district in December 2005.
The police had filed an FIR in Lunavada police station against 11 persons who dug up skeletal remains of riot victims and alleged that the state administration had hidden the bodies in the grave.
But the administration maintained that all the bodies had been identified and buried in accordance with legal procedures to be followed for unclaimed bodies.
