The ED is trying to find out whether Mallya received money from the sales and if it has been remitted to him or his firms abroad. The agency obtained details of sale during its investigation and this will find mention in its complaint to the adjudicating authority within a month.

Virendra Tawade, the doctor arrested by the CBI in Panvel, near Mumbai, on Friday in connection with the 2013 murder of activist Narendra Dabholkar, had apparently stayed in Kolhapur for six years before carrying out his Hindutva agenda in Satara, as reported in The Indian Express.

And Kolhapur is where the murders of Dabholkar and fellow activist Govind Pansare have a common ground, Hamid Dabholkar, the slain activist's son, indicated. Tawade, Hamid said, had spoken against Pansare as well during his stay in Kolhapur.

According to a Kremlin statement, the phone call on Saturday was at Modi's behest. "The leaders confirmed their intention to continue comprehensive deepening of bilateral relations, which have the character of a very privileged strategic partnership," it said.
