The Lalpur centre of the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, with initiative of the state tourism department is introducing two-year Masters of Tourism Management programme from this session. This course is going to be first of its kind. The principal secretary of state tourism said that this kind of course will provide the state with young people to help in developing the tourism department.
Jamshedpur: School students collect goods for Uttarakhand survivals
Students of MNPS on Friday have sent about 48 blankets and 2,000 soaps for the Uttarakhand tragedy survivals. The principal of the school said that the students took initiative in assembling the commodities for the victims and praised the effort by the students.
Dhanbad: “Surabhi” organises event for women
“Surabhi” a women’s organisation held an event to celebrate the month of “Shravan”. About 25 stalls from Kolkata, Asansol, Raniganj, Ranchi and Delhi were set up on the occasion. From sarees to designed rakhis were displayed in these stalls. Women in large numbers attended the event.
Ranchi: BIT organises “Zestomania 2013”
The Birla Institute of Technology Lalpur on Saturday organised a fun event, “Zestomania 2013” for personality development of the new batch of BBA, BCA, MBA, and MCA students. Several events such as number play, eureka and flash fire tested the physical and mental fitness of the students. Over 400 students participated in the event.
