Naxals wrestle with cops in Jharkhand, steal their guns
Naxals picked cops' guns, fired in the air before fleeing.

Ranchi: Naxals wrestled with policemen, injuring two of them, and fled with their pistols in Ranchi.

The incident took place on Thursday night when acting on a tip-off that some members of People's Liberation Front of India have taken shelter at Laxminagar area, Latehar police station in-charge Ravikant Prasad and constable Sunil Kumar reached there and caught two of them, DIG Raj Kumar Mallick said.

In the grappling between the police and the Naxals, the pistols of the security personnel fell down. The rebels picked the weapons and fled, firing in the air.

Both the policemen suffered minor injuries in the scuffle, Mallick said.
