BANGALORE: An accused in a murder case was stabbed to death near Sri Rama Mandir in Hebbagodi police station limits on the outskirts of the city on Thursday evening. Old rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the murder.The victim has been identified as Premnath (22), a resident of Hebbadodi.He was the third accused in the murder case of one Srinivas reported in Electronics City police station limits eight months ago.The victim was working as a cab driver.According to the police, Premnath was arrested in connection with the murder and he was in judicial custody.He was released on bail a week ago.When he was going near Sri Rama Mandir, a gang of miscreants attacked and stabbed him with knives and daggers and fled the scene.Premnath died on the spot due to multiple stab injuries.It is suspected that the brothers- in-law of Srinivas, who was murdered earlier, attacked Premnath as an act of revenge.Hebbagodi police have registered a case of murder case and are searching for the accused.
