Screening mechanisms are up at airports especially to screen passengers from affected countries.
New Delhi: No cases of the deadly virus, Ebola, have been reported in India so far. But several measures have already been put in place to screen Ebola cases in the country to ensure safety.
Screening mechanisms are up at airports especially to screen passengers from affected countries. 22,000 passengers have been screened, of which only 60-odd were at medium or high risk. None of them tested positive.
The government says that more measure are being taken, including imparting training to health workers. State governments will soon be issued 50,000 more protective gear. Ten more labs are being equipped for Ebola testing.
