Man Murders Ex-girlfriend With Huge Spanner On Busy Vasai Road In Broad Daylight
The police informed that the incident took place early in the morning in Vasai's East Chinchpada area when the victim was heading to work

A 28-year-old man on Tuesday beat his ex-girlfriend to death with a spanner on a busy road near Mumbai. The assault occurred in the middle of the road when the accused, Rohit Yadav, was seen chasing his ex Arti Yadav with the spanner after he suspected that she had moved on to a new relationship.  The video of the same is going viral on social media.

As per the CCTV visuals, Rohit was seen chasing Aarti with the spanner and repeatedly hit on her head and chest. The video showed Aarti walking on a road full of pedestrians when Rohit ran up behind her and striked her on the head with a spanner.

On witnessing the assault, a man was seen trying to stop Rohit. However, the accused pushed him away and threatened to hit him with the spanner. The man backs off, following which no one attempted to stop the attack.

It is speculated that the motive behind the assault was apparently their breakup following a six-year long relationship.

The police informed that the incident took place early in the morning in Vasai’s East Chinchpada area when Aarti Yadav was heading to work.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter. Rohit has been arrested in connection to the matter and has been charged with murder. He had been upset since Aarti had ended their relationship and suspected that she had found someone else, they added.

Meanwhile, the victim on Saturday registered a case against the accused because he had broken her phone and hit her in a fit of rage, sources informed. The case was registered at Achola Police Station, Nalasopara.

It has been learnt that following the complaint from Aarti, the cops had counselled Rohit.
