Maharashtra MLA slaps TTD clerk

TIRUMALA: Congress MLA from Maharashtra, Jagannath Achanna Shetty, representing the Sion-Koliwada constituency allegedly slapped a clerk at the TTD JEO’s camp office, here on Sunday.Shetty along with eight of his family members had come to Tirumala on a pilgrimage on Saturday night and went to JEO camp office to get darshan tickets. Against the MLA’s request of nine tickets, the office staff issued only 6 tickets on Saturday night for the morning darshan on Sunday.The MLA along with two others opted not to have darshan, as they did not have the required tickets and preferred to send six of their group for darshan.The staff entered in an argument with the MLA, irking the MLA, who finally lost his temper and allegedly slapped a clerk Ram Babu.Later, Ram Babu at 11 a.m.lodged a complaint with Tirumala II Town police against the MLA charging him with assaulting an employee on duty. Meanwhile, at 11.30 a.m, the MLA’s daughter-in-law, Veena also lodged a complaint alleging that Ram Babu had misbehaved with them
