KOCHI: The trial proceedings against CPM leader M V Jayarajan, against whom the Kerala High Court initiated contempt of court case, were adjourned to Tuesday.Special prosecutor Advocate S Sreekumar, who is assisting the court in the case, submitted that the speech delivered by Jayarajan against the judges is contemptuous in nature. He further submitted that Jayarajan had earlier admitted that he made the alleged speech.  During the trial, media persons who were the witnesses also stated that Jayarajan’s speech was against the Judiciary,  Sreekumar submitted. The Special Prosecutor further stated that the   High Court order which imposed a ban on holding meeting on roads and road margins was reviewed and was dismissed by the same Division Bench.A Division Bench comprising Justice V Ramkumar and Justice P Q Barkath Ali will hear the arguments of Jayarajan’s counsel advocate M K Damodaran on Tuesday.  Meanwhile, Jayarajan filed an interlocutory  application seeking to record the objections regarding certain questions raised by the Bench during the previous day’s trial.  Jayarajan argued that the questions asked by the court as to whether the witness was afraid  of CPM and Jayarajan were absolutely unwarranted. He contended that in the copy of the deposition by linguist P V Narayanan, the court did not record the objection raised.  The court had earlier examined 11 prosecution witnesses, including advocate P Rahim who had earlier filed a writ petition seeking a directive to initiate contempt of court proceedings against Jayarajan.
