A surprise inspection at 72 fair price shops was conducted in Karauli, Dausa, Sawaimadhopur and Alwar between February 9 and 18, ACS (Food) Ashok Shekhar said on Tuesday.
Out of which, irregularities in distribution of kerosene and other articles were found in 60 such shops, he added.
"Licences of 60 shops were suspended after our teams detected irregularities in inspection. The shop owners have been issued notices and the inquiry in the matter is on," the officer said.
