The LG G2 places all the buttons on the rear of the device, making it the first smartphone completely devoid of side buttons.

New Delhi: LG's latest flagship smartphone, the LG G2 that was first unveiled in August, will be launched in India on September 30. The press invite sent out by LG to the Indian media for a September 30 event to announce "LG's revolutionary new smartphone" has an image of a phone with the LG G2 distinctive power and volume buttons on the rear of the device.

The LG G2 places all the buttons on the rear of the device, thereby making it the first smartphone to be completely devoid of side buttons. The rear key is the only physical key on the LG G2.

The LG G2 features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display (423 ppi). LG says that its Dual Routing technology reduced the phone's bezel to 2.65mm on the side edge. The LG G2 is packed with a 3000 mAh battery. The phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 2.1 megapixel front camera.

Running on Android 4.2 OS, the LG G2 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone will be available in two variants - 16GB and 32GB. It will come in two colours - black and white. It is still not clear whether all the variants would be available in India.
