Lakhimpur: Man, daughter hacked to death over property dispute

A man and his daughter were hacked to death allegedly over a property dispute in Pallia area in Lakhimpur, police said on Thursday.

Dinesh Pal Singh (44) and his married daughter Rekha (24), residents of Banshinagar village, were hacked to death on Wednesday evening while they were standing outside their house, they said.

Police said a property dispute in the family was stated to be the motive behind the murders.
