HYDERABAD: The joint subregistrar- II of Ranga Reddy district was caught taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a person on Tuesday.According to an official release, the official, S Sahadev, was trapped in his office when he demanded and accepted Rs 1 lakh from T Umesh Kumar for registering hypothecation of a deed of his firm. Sahadev took the bribe money through a document writer, A Bose Babu.The money was recovered from Sahadev and the hands of both the official and the document writer yielded positive results when subjected to a chemical test.The two would be arrested and produced in a special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, village revenue officer of Vemavaram village in Machavaram mandal in Guntur district, R Rama Rao, was caught in his residence at Machavaram on Tuesday when he took Rs 5,000 as bribe from a person to issue a pattadar passbook. Rao would be arrested and produced before a special court for ACB cases in Vijayawada, said the press release.
