BHUBANESWAR: The JEE Committee has set the ball rolling for the annual entrance test with the sale of application forms kicking off on Friday.The JEE is scheduled to be held on May 6. The test for the M. Pharma will be held on May 13. The last date for sale of application forms is March 15 and completed forms will be accepted till March 22. Admit cards will be despatched by April 5.Vice-Chairman, JEE Committee, Dr Sitaram Mohapatra said, application forms will be sold both online and at counters. The JEE has tied up with India Post, SBI and Syndicate Bank for this purpose. The forms can also be obtained at the JEE office. The officials are hopeful of publishing the results by May-end. “We have already opened an inquiry counter at our Gandamunda office which will function from 10 am to 8 pm every day,” he said.This year, the JEE Committee has started the process at least two weeks in advance. Last year, sale of application forms had commenced in the last week of February.Mohapatra said, the early preparations will bring in more candidates as aspirants will have more time at hand. Last year, the Committee had sold 85,000 forms and this year, it is hopeful of reaching the 1 lakh mark.The committee has effected changes in the syllabus for the entrance by using contents from CBSE, CHSE and ICSE boards for the first time.
