Hisss
The controversial movie Hisss is based on the Vengeance of Naagin, the snake. George States (Jeff Douchette), a ruthless American travels to the jungles of India and captures her mate. The snake woman transforms into a stunningly attractive woman (Mallika Sherawat) with absolutely no clue about contemporary civilization or the ways of mankind, and ventures into the city in desperate search for her lover.
Mallika Sherawat has been zealously promoting her movie in the country. But it looks like the multiplex audience the film has not responded to the film well. Asish Roy says, “Except for Mallika, there is nothing about the movie that is worth watching. I did not like the movie and will not recommend it to anybody.”
Radhika Raj is also of the same opinion. She says, “Guys might enjoy watching Mallika. But not many girls will like the movie.” Nagesh Kanade is a die-hard Mallika fan and he and three of his friends came to watch the first show of the film. “I think the movie has enough entertainment value and Mallika has acted well.”
Jhootha Hi Sahi
The movie Jhootha Hi Sahi has been successful in attracting the audience. Especially, youngsters seem to like the movie. The story of the movie revolves around John Abraham who runs a book store and is a volunteer for a suicide helpline service, by the night. He gets a call from Pakhi Tyrewalla and the story moves on...
Rati Ram who watched the movie at a city multiplex along with her college friends, says, “I liked the movie. And John looks adorable.” Rohan Dhoot also thinks that the movie will be appreciated especially by youngsters. He says, “The movie has good songs, John and Pakhi looks good and the entire friends’ angle in the movie is pretty interesting.” Ronak Trivedi though thinks that the movie trivialises the issue of suicide. “One minute a person wants to die and the next minute she is busy romancing. I find this quite funny.”
RakhtCharitra
Ram Gopal Varma’s RakhtCharitra is an action film based on the life of gangster Paritala Ravi. Ritesh Sharma says, “The movie is not for the weak-hearted. There are many gory scenes. And the story is gripping till the climax.” Mihir Savla watched the movie with his group of friends. “The girls in the group didn’t want to watch the movie and I think that even if they did, they would not have liked it as it is a hardcore action film. My friends and I liked Viviek Oberoi’s acting.” Riti Malkhani says, “I hated the movie. Almost got a headache.”
Dus Tola
And The future seems bleak for Dus Tola. Nidhi Prashar says, "I don't believe it that I spent Rs 150 on this movie. Need I say more?". Her friend Mohit Naryan adds, "The movie is not even worth a one-time-watch."
