I-T Department to evaluate documents soon

KOCHI: An evaluation of the documents seized during the raids on the residences and business establishments of actors Mammootty and Mohanlal would take place only after a couple of days. It’s learnt that the Income Tax Department will soon zero in on a couple of other prominent actors and those associated with them in the film field. The raids on the houses of the two super stars are an indication that the IT Department would take similar action on others in the field also. An assessment of the value of the articles seized during the raids will be done after another round of detailed checking. It has been reported that the two actors have assets disproportionate to their known sources of income and that is why the IT officials decided to carry out detailed raids after a couple of days. The two actors will be again interrogated about their source of income by the IT sleuths. The IT Department zeroed in on the two prominent actors after they found disparity in the income returns filed by the actors and their sources of income.
