The allegation is that Shah Rukh had made an application which stated that the land was meant for farming but then constructed a farmhouse for personal use.
The Income Tax department has provisionally attached Shahrukh Khan’s Déjà Vu farmhouse, located in Alibag. The attachment notice was issued under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act (PBPT) in December of last year.
The allegation is that Shah Rukh had made an application which stated that the land was meant for farming but then constructed a farmhouse for personal use. The farmhouse reportedly spreads out over an area of 19,960 sq meters, and is a luxurious property, including a swimming pool, its own beach and a private helipad.
The law says that the attachment of the property can be done for a period not exceeding 90 days from the date of issuance of the notice.
