Hindu Jagarana Vedike has washed its hands of the attacks on a group of revelers at a homestay here.
Vedike convener Jagadish Karanth told reporters in Mangalore on Sunday that the organisation was not responsible for the raid.
Alleging that a mafia was behind in foisting false accusations on Hindu organisations, Karanth warned that the Vedike would monitor illegal activities in pubs, spas, resorts and homestays.
He advised the police and district administration to install Close Circuit tv Cameras at such places. “Information of those visiting such places would help police to nab also terrorists,” he added.
Seeking proof of Vedike being involved in the attack, he also clarified that there were no women members in their organisation.
Karanth said that Mangalore was a hub of sex tourism. According to him, young women were forced into flesh racket.
He also questioned that why leftist organisations which had remained silent on molestation of women in Guwahati and Mysore were in the forefront to discredit Hindu organisations.
