Manila: Two Indians and a Filopino abducted in Philippines on Thursday were rescued after a shootout in which five kidnappers were killed, police said.
The law enforcers in a shootout killed the kidnappers on Saturday morning in a province south of Manila, Xinhua reported.
Police identified the hostages as Pavitter Singh and Balvir Singh, both Indian nationals, and Luciano Clemen, a Filipino, who were kidnapped from Marilao town of Bulacan province.
Authorities recovered various firearms from the kidnappers.
