Mumbai: HP has announced the launch of its new detachable PC - the Pro x2 612. The device has a 12.5-inch display and is powered by Intel's Core i3/i5 processors.
Customers can choose the standalone tablet - Pro Tablet 612, or they can attach it to the full-size HP Pro x2 612 keyboard with embedded battery that features two USB 3.0 ports, DisplayPort, a side docking connector.
The device is likely to last for long because of the dual batteries - one in the tablet and one in the keyboard - that are claimed to provide 8 hours and 15 minutes of battery life for the tablet and up to 14 hours and 15 minutes of battery life with tablet and keyboard combined.
Primarily designed for enterprise users, the device has HP BIOS, HP Client Security, Smart Card Reader, HP TPM, and an optional fingerprint reader.
It is expected to be available in the Asia Pacific and Japan by the end of August.
