Hoax e-mail tracked to Madurai
The Tamil Nadu police are questioning two Internet cafe owners in connection with the Parliament bomb scare on Friday.

Madurai: According to sources, police have tracked the email that warned of an attack on Parliament House on Friday to Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

The police have taken in for questioning the proprietors of two internet browsing centres in Palayamkottai town, in connection with a hoax e-mail claiming an attack on the Parliament House.

Selvyn Muthuraj of Broadband Net Cafe and Raj Babu of Nellai Online were whisked away by the police after a raid at their premises.

City Police Commissioner, the Police Superintendent and the DIG of police were present during the raids which continued till late on Friday night.

According to initial information, some Muslim youth under the sway of the fundamentalist outfit, "Al-Umma" may have sent the mail.

There is a sizeable Muslim population in the twin-cities of Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai.
