Gujarat Parivartan Party leader Keshubhai Patel is hoping to inflict the maximum damage on Modi's re-election prospects, though a number of pre-poll surveys have already predicted a hat-trick of wins for Modi. A. I cant say comfortably or with discomfort ...but i m betting on Modi .. and moreover in 2012 the idea of communal politics (in favour of Hindus or Muslims )is not a good idea for the nation.

A. Don't entirely agree with your assessment... the high voter turnout in urban areas may help Modi ...but the reverse could be the situation in rural area.

A. Too early to speculate on it... the higher voting percentage can be attributed to high turn out of women and young first time voters.

A. The truth actually lies in between the claims and counter claims made by the BJP and congress...or instance take education ... education is in a poor state in Gujarat and higher education is entirely in private hands.

A. Modi definitely is a powerful orator and has the ability to connect with people in rallies.. but the real reason why BJP increasingly is identified with Modi is Modi's positioning...he has not let second rung leadership develop in the state.
