BANGALORE: A day after the state government sought some clarification on the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, Governor HR Bhardwaj said that there is ‘no doubt’ that the government is deliberately trying to delay the implementation of the recommendations of the report by not acting on it.Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “The Lokayukta does not have the power to remove a legislator. It can only instruct the mind of the government. It is up to the government to take any action,” said Bhardwaj.Additionally, commenting on the recent resignations of Justice Shivraj Patil from the post of the Lokayukta and R Gururajan from the post of the Upalokayukta, the Governor said that he is unhappy with the resignations.
