HYDERABAD: Telangana Praja Front president Gadar has resigned as its president. The TPF executive committee would meet on May 20 here and elect a new president. This was announced by Gadar at a press conference here on Friday. Gaddar said he submitted his resignation to the TPF state committee on April 19 which was accepted by the TPF on April 21.Gadar felt that the ongoing Telangana movement was unable to achieve Telangana state and said that the T movement should change its direction and involve people from Seemandhra also in the movement.In the initial days speculations were rife that the TPF was an alternative to the TRS but the TPF failed to expand its network in the region, Gadar said.He said the party took up several programmes including uniting all the elected representatives of the region. Though the TPF had differences with the TRS and the TJAC, Gaddar said his outfit participated in the Sakala Janula Samme. He said because TPF did not have sufficient strength it played a limited role in the Telangana movement.Gadar said he will tour all over the country to unite those fighting for smaller states and plans to float a new organisation at the national-level.
