Ali Zafar is not the first Pakistani actor to try his hands in the Hindi film industry.

New Delhi: Ali Zafar is not the first Pakistani actor to try his hands in the Hindi film industry. From Mohsin Khan and Javed Sheikh to Meera and Veena Malik, Bollywood has given many Pakistani actors a chance but none of them capitalized the breaks offered. Ali Zafar is one of the rare Pakistani actors who got the opportunity to play the lead role in a big budget Bollywood film.

His earlier films 'Tere Bin Laden', and 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' have given a glimpse of Zafar's latent talent but his worth as a solo hero will be estimated only after 'London Paris New York'.

Directed by Anu Menon, 'London Paris New York' takes the audiences to a world tour which is basically a journey to find the solutions to some of the glaring questions posed by the life in twenties.

The angst and the endless desires of twenties is the core subject of 'LPNY'. The basic storyline features two people from entirely different backgrounds. Lalitha (Aditi Rao) is a career oriented girl who gets scholarship to study Politics in New York while Nikhil (Ali Zafar) is going there to learn filmmaking, a course funded by his rich dad.

Fate brings both the individuals together but their paths are separate. They meet in three different cities, London, Paris and then again in New York without knowing what will happen next.

The synopsis of the film suggests that 'London Paris New York' has three chapters with each chapter reflecting the different mental states of Nikhil and Lalitha.

Anu Menon is an actor turned director. She has featured in films such as 'Raat Gayi Baat Gayi' and 'Quick Gun Murugan' in small roles. The film is produced by Goldie Behl who had produced and directed films like 'Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai' and 'Drona' in the past. Unfortunately Behl is still deprived of the success at the box office.

The music of the film is not received with much enthusiasm but the colourful promos have generated a buzz. Aditi Rao has got a lead role after a lot of struggle so she would not like to lose it, similarly Ali Zafar would also want to come out of the side hero image.

The film's theme sounds similar to Rani Mukerji-Sai Ali starrer 'Hum Tum' so Anu Menon's treatment will be the key factor.

The box office result will decide the lead pair's future in the Hindi Film industry. 'London Paris New York' is all set to hit the screens on March 2.####
