A case has been filed against the manager of One8 Commune-Bengaluru, co-owned by ace Indian skipper Virat Kohli, for operating and serving customers beyond the 1 am closing deadline.
According to the first information report (FIR), the One8 Commune-Bengaluru was allegedly found operating at 1:20 am, beyond the permissible time limit.
“The One8 Commune pub at Kasturbha Road was found operating and serving customers at 1:20 am, beyond closing time on July 6th,” the FIR registered at the Cubbon Park Police Station in Bengaluru reads.
According to official sources, the sub-inspector, who was on night patrolling duty, received information about the One8 Commune pub operating late at night. When the sub-inspector reached the pub at 1:20 am, he found it serving the customers. Based on this, an FIR was registered.
Sources said action was taken against three other pubs, too.
Virat Kohli’s venture One8 Commune has branches in other big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru branch was launched in December last year. It is located on the sixth floor of Ratnam’s Complex on Kasturaba Road, within a close radius of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Customers can enjoy views of Cubbon Park and Chinnaswamy Stadium while enjoying their meal at One8 Commune. Virat Kohli shares a special bond with Bengaluru as he has been playing for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
