Film Distributors join strike

KOCHI: Kerala Film Distributors Association will not distribute movies from Wednesday onwards. The move  is a  blow to the industry which is already neck deep in crisis owing to the strike called by the exhibitors federation.The decision by the distributors came on Tuesday after the State Govt and the theatre owners in Kerala failed to reach a consensus on the service charge.Earlier, the exhibitors had refused to screen any new Malayalam movie to protest against the Government’s decision to scrap the service charge levied by theatres.
