HYDERABAD: Third post-mortem on music director T Anil Reddy’s body was performed by a team of forensic experts from Warangal and Kurnool district hospitals on Tuesday. The re-postmortem was held following High Court directions.Anil, who scored music for films like Gamyam, Sambavami Yuge Yuge and others, died under suspicious circumstances on April 21 night. Anil fell in love with a model, Shalini, in September last and their marriage was fixed for May this year. However, Anil collapsed in his car near Shalini’s residence and died while being shifted to a corporate hospital.Though initially Anil’s family did not suspect anything wrong in his death, but later suspected a foul play and lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad police and the body was exhumed on July 25 and an autopsy was conducted. The forensic experts found an injury on Anil’s head and expressed doubts of death due to head injury.However, the police conducted a re-postmortem on the body after few days and the forensic experts of Osmania Hospital gave a report stating that Anil’s death was a natural one.With conflicting reports emerging, Anil’s brother Prakash Reddy approached the High Court which ordered the Cyberabad police to conduct a re-postmortem and a detailed inquiry.Though the third postmortem was scheduled to be held on August 11, it was postponed as the forensic experts were not available. Meanwhile, the relatives of Anil reportedly met the Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwara Tirumala Rao and expressed doubts over the forensic doctors of Gandhi and Osmania hospitals prompting the police to take the help of forensic experts from Warangal and Kurnool hospitals.Police sources said Anil’s body was in a highly decomposed state and the forensic experts might take some more time to give their report. Meanwhile, the police are likely to submit a report to the court on the developments in the investigation of the case in the next couple of days.
