VIJAYAWADA: Krishna District Congress Committee president Segu Venkateswarlu died of illness at his residence in Gudivada on Saturday night. He was appointed Krishna DCC president in 2005.Several Congress leaders, including MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, former minister Mandali Buddha Prasad and PCC secretary Kolanukonda Sivaji, condoled the death of Venkateswarlu and recalled his endeavour to strengthen the party in the district.Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu and other Congress leaders visited his house and consoled the bereaved family.
