Cops come to Krrish's rescue
A "master CD" of Krrish was seized at the Kolkata international airport by the police.

Kolkata: Police on Monday claimed it foiled an attempt to circulate pirated CDs of Rakesh Roshan's latest Hindi film Krrish in the metropolis by seizing a “master CD” of the movie at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.

Following an FIR filed by a distributor of the film, the police conducted a raid at the airport and seized an unclaimed consignment containing the "master CD" of the film, which released all over the country last Friday.

"No one turned up to claim the consignment, which landed on Saturday night. We are investigating the matter," an officer at the airport police station said.

West Bengal's distributor, Niraj Movies, claimed that they had prior information that such a consignment was enroute to Kolkata and informed the police.

The producer, Rakesh Roshan, as well as the audio and video right holder of the film, T-Series, have taken extra precautions to prevent piracy of the film, made at an estimated budget of nearly Rs 50 crore.

Earlier, an official of T-Series had received a threat for the drive against the piracy of soundtracks and video of Krrish. An FIR has been filed in Mumbai in this regard a couple of days ago.
