THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate court on Tuesday summoned former chief chemical examiner R Geetha and joint chemical examiner M Chitra, who have been arraigned as accused in the chemical examination tampering case related to Sister Abhaya murder, to appear before it on July 6. The charge-sheet in the case will be read out to both of them on that day. Geetha and Chitra were found involved in the case by former CJM Cherian Varghese on May 31. He found that both of them had tampered with the report of the chemical examination of the vaginal swab and smear of Sister Abhaya to negate the presence of human semen. The case was exposed by ‘Express’ through a report published on April 12, 2007. The case in the CJM court was filed by human rights activist Jomon Puthenpurackal.
