HYDERABAD: It was chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s day on Friday. His cabinet colleagues were all praise for the chief minister who succeeded in getting Clause 14 (f) from the Presidential Order deleted. While ministers from Telangana were appreciative for his efforts, those from other regions said that the chief minister kept up his word as promised earlier.Kiran Kumar Reddy has been very particular to get the clause 14(f) deleted before the SI recruitment examination slated for August 13 and 14, in the wake of Telangana activists threatening to disrupt the exam. When Union home minister P Chidambaram wanted the state Assembly to pass another resolution for deleting the controversial clause, the chief minister persuaded him stating that the AP Assembly has already passed a resolution in this regard and there was no need for another resolution.BC welfare minister Basvaraj Saraiah appreciated the efforts of Kiran Kumar Reddy in resolving the demand of thousands of students in Telangana. “The chief minister took an initiative in getting the clause deleted and we thank him for his cooperation,” he said. Other ministers from Telangana including P Sabitha Indra Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy also thanked the chief minister.
