In a statement later on Saturday evening, the Art of Living Foundation confirmed that Mr Muzaffar Wani was in the ashram for two days and their discussion revolved around the current situation in the valley, about the suffering and how peace and normalcy can be restored in J&K.
"It was purely on a personal and humanitarian angle," the statement added.
According to reports, Sri Sri Ravishankar could be part of delegation that will be sent to the Valley to hold peace talks with the Kashmiris and also to try and find a solution to the ongoing turmoil that has entered its 50th day.
After Burhan Wani was gunned down by security forces on July 8, severe protests erupted in the valley leading to over 70 deaths.
The 21-year-old Wani was famous among the youth of Kashmir for his pro freedom videos on Kashmir.
