Boys drown in lake near Mathigiri

KRISHNAGIRI: Two school boys drowned in a lake near Mathigiri on Thursday, the police said.  Manoj (12), son of Subramani and Ajai (11), son of Kumar of Nethaji Nagar, Mathigiri had gone for a swim in the Karnur lake, the police added.  While the boys were taking bath, they suddenly started drowning.  Villagers who heard their cries of help, were too late when they reached the lake. They were able to retrieve only bodies.  Mathigiri police have registered a case.
