BJP MLC assaults biker

BANGALORE: BJP MLC and former minister Ramachandra Gowda and his supporters reportedly assaulted a biker in his presence for not making way for his car.According to an eye-witness, the MLC’s car was on Bannerghatta Road and a bike was moving in front of it on Wednesday. “The MLC’s driver repeatedly honked to overtake the bike. But the biker did not make way for the car. The driver overtook the bike near Kalyani wedding hall at Bilekallahalli and stopped the bike. About four persons along with Gowda alighted the car and hurled abuses at the biker,” he said.Gowda denied the allegation and said, “Two bikers collided and a few members of the public had gathered at the spot. I was on my way to attend to some work and when I noticed the public beating up the youth, I interfered and pacified them. My car driver did not try to overtake anybody nor did my supporters assault anybody,” he clarified.
