Bill to be presented again

UDUPI: Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment Amendment Bill-2011, defeated in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, will be presented again on the second day of the next Assembly session in January, said Minister for Religious Endowment Dr V S Acharya.He said the Bill-2011 will be presented without changes. “The defeat was unexpected and it was the Oppositions victory,” he said. “Opposition leader in the Assembly Siddaramiah raising the issue that includes Mutts and temples within the purview of the Bill was not fair as it was an old issue and even the Congress did not do it,” he added.
