Superintendents of Police of Nellore and Chittoor districts BV Ramana Kumar and Kanti Rana Tata respectively, who met at Tada to share information regarding search operations in both the districts, said that they will send special police teams to Bhadrachalam, Chennai and Malkangiri.
They also hinted at using the services of Ramesh, who sustained injuries in the incident. After being injured, he was shifted to Sulurpet hospital. After treatment, Ramesh left for his village Ulavapadu in Prakasam district without informing police. A police team has left for his village, to bring him to Nellore to prepare a sketch of the accused. Ramesh has vital information as he had close glimpse of the accused, while being slashed.
Chittoor SP said that he had already reviewed old cases including the ones on serial murders in Varadaiahpalem in 2007 and had enquired about the accused in those cases and found that they have no connection with the present case. Meanwhile, police search parties have been deployed in all towns of Nellore district and patrolling has been intensified on the national highway.
