There is good news for superstar Amitabh Bachchan's fans, producers and directors - the actor is to resume work this week.

Mumbai: There is good news for superstar Amitabh Bachchan's fans, producers and directors - the actor is to resume work this week.

Bachchan will begin with dubbing for director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film Eklavya.

After taking a final series of tests in the last week of February, Bachchan will return to shooting around the end of March.

He will complete director Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Ravi Chopra's Babul.

Last week Bachchan recorded a song with music director Aadesh Srivastav for his film Babul.

Bachchan was hospitalised on November 28 in New Delhi following complaints of abdominal pain. From there he was flown to Mumbai where he was admitted to Lilavati hospital.

A series of tests and scans confirmed that the superstar was suffering from inverticulitis or inflammation of the colon in the left side of the large intestine.

Bachchan underwent a three-hour surgery on November 30 and was advised complete rest.
