Renowned spiritual guru Morari Bapu has made the highest donation of Rs 11.3 crore to the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is all set for the consecration ceremony (Pran Pratistha) of Lord Ram Lalla. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, responsible for the construction work at the temple, is finishing all the preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.

The grand event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dignitaries from across the world.

Devotees from across the world have been contributing towards the temple’s construction work. In the last three years, the donations to the temple Trust have reached nearly Rs 5,000 crore. The received funds are deposited into designated bank accounts of the Trust. Additionally, the daily donations up to Rs 2 lakh are being received through various channels such as online transactions, cheques, and cash. According to reports, the monthly donations are estimated to be around Rs 1 crore.

As per the information available on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust website, renowned spiritual guru Morari Bapu has made the highest donation of Rs 11.3 crore to the Ayodhya Ram temple. Morari Bapu’s followers from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom have also collectively donated an additional Rs 8 crore.

Gujarat’s diamond businessman Govindbhai Dholakia, the owner of Sri Ramakrishna Exports, has donated Rs 11 crore for the temple’s construction.

Morari Bapu, known for his ‘Ram Katha’, has been a consistent supporter of the Ayodhya Ram temple construction. The spiritual leader is a distinguished scholar on Ram Charit Manas, having shared the narrative for over fifty years across the globe.

The initiative to gather funds for the construction of the Ayodhya Ram temple was started by the former President Ramnath Kovind, on January 14, 2021. The former President became the first donor for the Ram temple, contributing Rs 5 lakh to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust through a cheque.
