THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Manaveeyam Veedhi’ was conceived as a mini cultural hub in the heart of the capital city. However, for many years now, it has been functioning as a parking area for visitors to the Napier Museum and city zoo. Adding insult to injury, now, road metal has been dumped on the roadside in large heaps, covering even the footpath. Local people say the metal has been there for some days now. This short stretch of road continues to be a favourite with morning walkers and the dumping of metal is proving an inconvenience to them and other pedestrians.
