At the Surgical Avenue

CHENNAI: Hospital equipment manufacturer, Solokrafts, has unveiled a swanky 800 sq ft showroom in Chetpet where live demonstrations of their products are provided like any other shopping experience.  Deemed Surgical Avenue, the showroom has ensured that doctors and hospital administrators no longer have to make the journey to their factory for demonstrations. “Earlier, people would have to journey to our factory at Kodungaiyur to watch a demo in not-so-ideal conditions,” said Ravina Jain, senior executive of operations. “Now they will be spared of this experience.”The opening of the showroom coincided with the 25th anniversary of operations for the medical equipment major. The showroom showcases products like hospital furniture, high-pressure sterilizers, operation microscopes, ventilators, surgical diathermy, surgical instruments, laparoscopic instruments, medical gas cylinders, anesthesia machines, X-Ray machines, ultrasound scanners, ECG machines, medical monitor laboratories, diagnostic instrument reagents and many others.  They also donated wheel chairs, physiotherapy and diagnostic devices to the inmates of MANASA, a school for special children to mark the occasion.
